The Office of Disability Services and Testing Center at the University of Tennessee at Martin is accepting applications for a part-time (75%) Testing Administrative Specialist. This position is responsible for managing the operations of the testing center that services UTM students, faculty, staff and residents of the surrounding area. Schedules and administers large-scale, high-stakes computer-based and paper-based testing programs, ensuring that internal, test companies, and NCTA standards and best practices are satisfied and that all restricted materials are kept secure. Performs test administration duties as it relates to proctoring, test security, and test companies' requirements. Oversees the maintenance of inventory, software and hardware installations, test companies' updates, trouble shooting, and secure testing environments. Responsibilities: * Prepare test facilities, test materials, and schedules daily. Maintain integrity of testing environment and materials. Adhere to the strict guidelines and protocols required for testing. * Order and maintain sufficient inventory of testing materials. Inventory and return test booklets and materials to test companies at the end of each test cycle. * Score and maintain test records, ensure score confidentiality, process test results, upload scores, and communicate test results to relevant stakeholders. * Maintain all testing schedules for various testing companies, including ETS, Pearson Vue, Scantron, HiSET, and Register Blast; open and close dates as needed for each company. Coordinate dates with UTM faculty for specified graduation exams and for Nursing entrance exams. * Explain, apply, and enforce testing policies and procedures. Launch exams, monitor candidates, respond to questions and concerns as they arise, and resolve issues appropriately. * Effectively partner with external testing companies regarding test schedules and available seating, proctor changes and training requirements, technical problems, test site updates, incident reports, contractual changes, and any other necessary communications, such as headlines and cases, to ensure test center compliance. * Evaluate and assess processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Testing Services operations. * Maintain confidentiality of privileged information and adhere to applicable privacy laws. Ensure testing booklets and materials are kept in an approved, secure location. * Perform custom configurations of testing workstations and installing updates and software as required by each computer-based testing program; partner with testing companies' IT departments to trouble shoot issues as needed. * Review any changes to testing procedures and make changes to current documentation. * Manage the collection, security, and accounting of fees and contract revenue collected by the Testing Center. * Prepare monthly and annual financial and usage reports to include revenue generated, number of people tested, number of tests given and type. Make recommendations to supervisor regarding testing services. * Maintain all certifications and trainings required for all testing services. * Oversee the training, development, and proctor certification of a Graduate Assistant or other new employee.
