The Communications Assistant supports the communications department by writing press releases, maintaining statistical data and running social media accounts to promote TCU Athletics, its coaches, and student-athletes. This is a part-time position working no more than 30 hours per week.

The assistant will have the following duties:

• Serve as primary media contact for assigned sports.
• Maintain statistical information for assigned sports.
• Provide responsibility for content on social accounts for assigned sports.
• Write updated content for fact books, game programs and game notes.
• Monitor and update website content.
• Work closely with marketing and video staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

The candidate will receive consideration based on the following:

• Knowledge of working with a website provider, preferably SIDEARM.
• Skill in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Stat Crew/Genius.
• Skill in running a team or organization’s social media account.
• Skill with a camera and editing photos.
• Ability to write with knowledge of AP style.
• Ability to research and analyze statistical data.

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• One year in communications and public relations setting
