Part-time Math Support Specialist

Devon Preparatory School, a Catholic, college preparatory school for young men in grades six to twelve, is seeking a math support teacher to join our faculty starting in the 2022-2023 academic year.

It is expected the successful candidate would:

• Proficiently teach middle and high school Mathematics

• Provide Math enrichment to students in grades 6-12 

• Work one on one with students to provide direct instruction in Math content areas of pre-algebra through pre-calculus
• Design and implement math academic interventions using research-based and evidenced-based approaches (including concrete, representational, and abstract learning applications and practice)

• Proactively communicate with students and parents

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and consult with learning support teachers

In addition, a candidate should possess the following professional qualifications and personal qualities:

• Minimum B.S. in Mathematics 
• Teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics is preferred

• A demonstrated commitment to professional development

• A sense of humor, warmth of personality, and energy

• Flexibility
