The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

This position reports to (supervisor): Director of Russell Street Clinic, Dr. Beverlee Cutler

The duties of this position include:

This position is under the supervision of the Director of the Russell Street Clinic. The position is an on-call position to fill in for dentists on vacation or when extra providers are needed.

The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objects of OHSU and the School of Dentistry and include: Providing general dentistry assessments and treatment to patients at the Russell Street Dental Clinic, including routine and urgent care; participation in the education of residents and dental students. Specific responsibilities will focus on providing direct patient care, clinical teaching at the graduate and predoctoral level, participating in dental research (including clinical research), participating in strategic planning activities.

The general pattern of working hours corresponds with scheduled clinic hours, Monday Friday, 7:30 am 4 pm. Deviations from this pattern may be necessary at times.

• Oregon Dental License, unrestricted, (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment)


• Dental degree (DDS/DMD) unrestricted, from a CODA accredited school


• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association


• Ability to leverage creativity, resourcefulness, and sound judgment in the analysis and resolution of dental and administrative problems; strong leadership, teamwork, and crisis management skills


• Comprehensive skill and ability to apply modern methods, principles and practices of four-handed and advanced general dentistry


• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

• Public health experience
