The Nechiporuk Lab focuses on the basic research concerning development of the peripheral system in zebrafish. The student worker will help with daily operations of a 500-tank zebrafish facility.
Primary responsibilities consist of facility and systems maintenance, feeding adult and larval zebrafish, and accurate documentation.
Work is generally 10 hours per week during normal working hours, however, some evening and weekend work will be necessary on occasion.
Enrolled in, or on vacation from, or is otherwise registered in an undergraduate program (minimum 6 credit hours)
Ability to live 20 lbs (9 liter fish tanks) to and from the workbench
Undergraduate pursuing a science major
Basic laboratory skills
