Position Description: Summer Camp Certified Swimming Instructor

Camp Background
Benchmark School, founded in 1970, is an independent coeducational day school serving bright children in grades 1 through 6 who have been identified as having dyslexia, ADHD, auditory processing or language-based learning differences.  The camp also serves students whose parents want them to have additional help in language arts and an outstanding camp experience during the summer.

The camp is in session from June 27 to July 29 (closed on July 4).  Teachers are expected to be on campus from 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM when camp is in session.

Job Description/Responsibilities
Benchmark Camp is currently looking for an energetic, attentive, and certified swimming instructor. Our 5-week camp offers educational as well as recreational fun to more than 200 students. The job of the Swimming Instructor is to accomplish the objectives of the camp by supporting and facilitating activities designed by the Camp Director as well as teach students how to swim in our outdoor pool.

Qualifications:

Jr. or Sr. in High School or older

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
