Radiology Technologist, Hospital Ambulatory Outpatient Center, Part- Time
Oregon Health and Science University
- Must be a graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography program that meets current qualifications to take and pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) board examinations in Radiography upon hire
- Student candidates must obtain the RT (R) (ARRT) certification within 6 months of their hire date
- Candidates must have a current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) temporary license for student hires and permanent license for registered hires
- Must have a valid OHSU approved Basic Life Support BLS card
- Perform diagnostic imaging studies, Radiation safety, Effective use of equipment, Record maintenance, Infection control, Quality control, Compliance, Patient Communication, Contrast media, problem solving, judgment, teamwork and taking initiative
- Ability to speak clearly, demonstrate patience and understanding of patients' needs
- Must be able to deal with competing needs and priorities of patients and internal customers
- Use of personal computers, copiers, phones, and fax machine
- Must have ability to stand, lift, and move patients
- Ability to work a full-time position, with overtime as required
- Ability to workin a busy environment with frequent interruptions, multiple demands and continuous interaction with patients and other medical professionals. It requires being exposed to radiation, chemical solutions, and human tissue/fluids
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
