Assists the Chief Compliance Officer in the implementation of systems and procedures that support compliance best practices at the direction of the Compliance Officer.
Assists and participates in conducting institution-wide education, awareness, and campaigns related to Title IX and Campus SaVE Act. Works with the University Compliance Officer to coordinate and implement compliance-related training and workshops to include Title IX, records retention, and other compliance related topics.
Policy Compliance: Coordinates development and maintenance of University Rules and Procedures in accordance with A&M System Policies and Regulations; tracks the completion of all required A&M â“ Central Texas Rules and Procedures on Excel spreadsheet; sends email notification reminders. Assists in researching laws and statutes that apply to Higher Education and provides resources when clarification is needed.
Records Retention: Assists in ensuring compliance with all required Procedures; identifies records to purge in conjunction with the TAMUS records retention schedule; coordinates and recommends destruction of records; assists in promoting records retention annually to campus as required by TAMUS policy; and coordinates and leads departmental record retention representatives.
Schedules activities, special projects and Compliance Committee meetings and Title IX Taskforce; may develop, deliver and support compliance presentations; Prepares and distributes agendas for Compliance Committee and Title IX Taskforce meetings; records meeting minutes. Distributes email notification reminders per the Compliance Calendar.
Ensures web pages are up-to-date and links are functional. Create a quarterly new letter to be distributed university wide to keep campus up to date on policy changes and upcoming events and trainings.
Assists with requests for public information, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Work is performed under administrative supervision of the Compliance & Title IX Officer, with evaluation based on the effective operation of the administrative functions. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

Preferred: Bachelorsâ™ degree or equivalent
One year of experience with office-related work Proficiency using database or spreadsheet software
One or more years of experience with compliance-related work Two years using database or spreadsheet software for compliance-related work
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The following are essential: Ability to support the planning of a complex operation, using human resources, time, and other resources for the accomplishment of long-term and short-term goals of the institution. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Knowledge of, and experience with, federal, state, system, and institutional Compliance programs. Ability to communicate effectively, orally, by phone, in person, and in writing. Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment.
