Minimum Qualifications: Masters in nutrition, dietetics or dietetics and food administration
Bachelors in any of the above
Masters in chemistry, public health or family and consumer studies/home economics
OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
Commitment to diversity. (NOTE: A Bachelors in nutrition, dietetics, or dietetics and food administration, and certification as a registered dietitian, is an alternative qualification for this discipline.)
Desirable Qualifications: Recent experience teaching human nutrition and varied food and food service management courses, preferably at the college level. Registered dietitian (RD) or registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). Experience in hospital, community and/or administrative dietetics. Demonstrated commitment towards and evidence of professional growth and development. Participation in national, state, and/or local professional organizations. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience assisting and promoting the growth and success of a diverse population of students and employees through the development of interculturally competent and equity minded practices or initiatives.

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
