The Reading Center at the Casey Eye Institute at OHSU is hiring for a Student Worker who is enrolled in in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in a college (undergraduate minimum 6 credit hours) program. This part-time position will involve evaluating images and files of multiple ophthalmology studies and support the team as needed to successfully complete the project tasks.
Duties to include:
Retinal Image/ files analysis
Assess the quality of images/ files obtained by different ophthalmologic test modalities.
Use software to process the images/ files and support the team with project tasks
Track and thoroughly document the progress of process in projects
Under supervision, attempt to identify issues in the analysis process
Work in a team to manage documents in an electronic content management system.
Review manuals of procedures to assess clarity
Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in an Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
Experience with Microsoft operating system
Basic computer keyboarding skills.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong relationship building skills, interpersonal skills - able to resolve conflicts and to problem solve between parties.
Demonstrated evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to meet deadlines and urgent system needs.
Ability to work independently; willingness to serve as a positive and professional role model.
Must have demonstrated record of reliable attendance, punctuality and proven successful performance in past and present.
