This position is a stipend position coaching middle school players. The Season runs from 1/31/22 – 4/14/22. The Head coach will report to the Head of Athletics and collaborate with all program stakeholders: coaches, student-athletes, faculty/staff, and parents. The position manages all aspects of a competitive softball program.
Direct coaching responsibilities inclusive of: program organization, practice planning, game preparation/management, and overall student-athlete development following the mission statement and core values of Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart
Administrative tasks including, but not limited to: continuous communication with the athletic department, prepare and update team rosters, oversee individual and team stats, utilize game filming with Hudl, attend league and conference meetings for SPC
Provide end of season collection of information, uniforms, award winners, and season review
Create a competitive, fun, and positive environment for all student athletes

Proven experience in coaching Softball
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to inspire and motivate
Excellent organizational and problem-solving ability
Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting
Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks
Current Safe Environment training
Current CPR certification
Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
Punctuality and dependability
Ability to maintain accurate records
Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and rules contained in the Duchesne Employee Handbook
Treat parents as partners in their child's education
Maintain productive relationships with other Duchesne faculty and staff
