The Admissions Specialist Assistant works closely with the Associate Director of Student Recruitment to coordinate messaging and detailed information for prospective students, current students, faculty, campus colleagues and other key stakeholders.
Utilizes excellent judgement to respond to a wide range of inquiries from stakeholders with exemplary customer service.
Creates first impression of Kelley Information Systems Graduate Programs. This involves responding to requests for additional information, determining what response/material/action best meets their needs.
Processes applications and records, including transcripts, resumes and additional materials for admission to the ISGP MSIS Program.
This position provides extensive administrative support in a fast-paced office and works closely with the admissions process, as it serves as first point of contact for visitors to the ISGP Program administrative office.
Admissions process duties include maintaining/improving efficiency of the admissions process, managing student record data, tracking changes to student files and providing updates, receiving and maintaining applications and records, serving as a resource to answer prospective students' questions, and disseminating information to university and external audiences about admissions policies and procedures.
Administrative duties include maintaining staff schedules, scheduling prospective student interviews, preparing for meetings, updating recruiting materials with current information, and providing secretarial support by providing excellent customer service and multitasking.
High school diploma or GED.
2 years of experience working in a fast paced, customer service area.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks are extremely critical.
Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Working knowledge of IU systems and policies and procedures.
Excellent keyboarding skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook and other tools, office equipment, and resources.
