INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS (UA-INTP-IUBLA)
The Office of the Vice President for International Affairs (OVPIA) provides leadership and advocacy for international programs and activities on all IU campuses and coordinates the resources necessary to sustain their growth.
The Office of the Vice President for International Affairs seeks to fill a temporary hourly position to support data entry for a new software system.
Responsibilities may include:
Working within a Microsoft Teams environment to carry out assigned tasks.
Entering data into Excel spreadsheets, databases, and/or online forms.
Formatting digital files (Word documents, PDFs, and images) and uploading them to the software system.
Researching contact information (names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers) using common search engines.
Using communications tools such as Skype for Business or Slack.
Other duties as assigned.
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
Coursework in Library Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Prior database management or related experience.
Strong communication skills and high degree of professionalism.
Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft 365 (including Teams), and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to adhere to requirements for confidentiality of records.
Demonstrates a high commitment to quality.
Highly thorough and dependable.
Possesses a high degree of initiative and demonstrated priority setting skills.
Working Conditions / Demands
The position will work 10-15 hours weekly, with the possibility of up to 20 hours depending on the office's needs. Standard desk job requirements, including extended periods of time working on a computer.
Bloomington campus based. Some work may be performed remotely.
