Transport of Study Participants to and from their respective homes or centralized locations such as Park & rides; to and from the Clinical Neurobehavioral Center (CNC), at 5900 Waterloo Road, Columbia MD 21045 for participation in the Clinical Trials referencing patients who may have a mental health and substance use issues.
Transportation of Study and Laboratory Materials, to and from other campus locations such as UMMC hospital, the UMB Bio-Park and other UMB Campus locations.
Transportation of study medications to and from the CNC; to and from the UMMS, Investigational Drug Service Pharmacy.
Transportation of UMB staff/faculty to and from the UMB Campus and UMMS for study associated meetings, administration and community outreach.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE: One year as a driver.
OTHER: Valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate class and endorsement codes. If required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License, employees will be subjected to drug and alcohol education and testing as required under Federal Highway Administration and the State of Maryland regulations.
Working knowledge of the care and operation of automotive transportation vehicles. Skill in driving in all kinds of weather and road conditions. Ability to read and write; to understand and follow oral and written instructions; to assist passengers and lift heavy
OTHER: Except for qualifications established by law, additional
related experience and formal education in which one has gained the
knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the
work of the job class may be substituted for the education or
experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college
credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
