Bullis School seeks an Assistant Rock Climbing Coach for the 2021-2022 winter season to contribute to our thriving athletics community. Qualified candidates should have coaching experience at the high school and/or club levels and preferably personal Rock Climbing experience. This is a part-time, stipend position that reports to the Girls Athletic Director. This position is not eligible for additional benefits.
Assist with planning of practices and meets for Co-Ed Climbing team grades 9-12
Assist head coach with submitting meet line-ups and any other paperwork needed for competitions
Organization and use of equipment
Helping with ordering and distribution of any uniforms or equipment
Possibly Driving activity busses (small 14 passenger bus) or yellow busses (if a CDL holder) to away contests and practices
Should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Additional duties as assigned by the Girls Athletic Director
Ability to regularly sit and/or stand for long periods and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations
Must be (or have the ability to earn) Belay certified at Sport Rock and Earthtreks locations
Have confidence to monitor and assess students belay skills
