Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a candidate for a part-time (22-24 hours per week) 2nd shift Security Officer position in our exciting fast-paced Campus Safety and Security Department located on the Carrollton Campus.
The 2nd shift is 3:30 pm - 9:30 pm (Monday - Thursday). Candidates will be responsible for providing on-going visual inspection by foot, bike, and/or vehicle patrols, completing incident, accident, and injury reports as needed and providing other security services in order to maintain a safe, secure campus environment for students, staff, faculty and visitors. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Assists with campus crisis situations, with building evacuations, drills, etc. as needed and monitors parking facilities, insuring only authorized vehicles parked in restricted areas; issues citations as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
The salary is $14.00 per hour.
High School/GED and one year of Security or related work experience (other Security, Corrections, Police, Fire, EMS, or Military).
