Primary Responsibilities: Health and Safety Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all things Covid-19 related including but not limited to testing, health screenings, contact tracing, documenting, compliance and responding to all inquiries.
Hours/Classification: Part-Time (70% FTE) Exempt (2021-2022 Academic Year) 7:30am-1:00pm on site each day and on-call as needed

Primary Areas of Responsibility
Answer parent and employee questions about Covid-19 including but not limited to symptoms, testing, travel and quarantine
Lead and manage contact tracing efforts in the event of a COVID-19 case on campus in collaboration with the Director of Operations, Division Heads, Division Coordinators, and teachers.
Manage all COVID-19 testing requirements and ensure requirements are followed when it comes to symptom or close contacts
Maintain COVID-19 testing and contact tracing records
Respond to reports of COVID-19 cases on campus within 60 minutes of the time of report when required
Attend weekly Zoom meetings with the Department of Public Health to ensure up-to-date understanding of current SFDPH COVID-19 guidance for schools
Collaborate across school campuses, whenever appropriate, to ensure appropriate information sharing.
Serve as a resource to staff, faculty, administrators and members of the community in comprehensive health information sharing
Liaise with the SFDPH on COVID-19 cases or other COVID-19 symptom or exposure questions as they arise to ensure proper following of protocols in partnership with the Director of Operations
Conduct monthly COVID-19 campus walk-throughs to ensure proper application of COVID-19 policies on campus in partnership with the Director of Operations
Manage onsite testing or vaccination clinics as needed
Hold student and employee rapid testing drop-in hours
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
What a typical day may look like
7:30-8:30 On-site responding to parent and employee inquiries
8:30-10:00 Drop-in rapid testing lab for students and employees
10:00-1:00 Supervise snack and lunch service to ensure safety protocols are followed and administrative work
On call throughout the day and able to respond in the event of a COVID-19 case on campus
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
Strong facility with technology software and hardware
Ability and willingness to reflect and improve
Positive attitude and friendly demeanor with ability to build relationships with teachers, manage school?wide initiatives
Knowledge of HIPPA and FERPA laws
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents and community
Comfortable with experimentation and trying new ideas; able to learn and adjust quickly
Minimum education level:
Associate degree or passing of Paraprofessional Test
Possess a current CPR and First Aid Certificate
2+ years working in the area of public health, medical or related field
Work authorization requirements:
Clear the Department of Justice background screening (Livescan)
Authorized to work in the United States
Provide health (TB) clearance (update every 4 years)
Stand, walk or bend over, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, and pull. Move, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds to shoulder height
Repetitive use of hands (i.e. fine manipulation, simple grasping, and power grasping)
Demonstrate normal depth perception
Sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, operate standard office equipment, and use a telephone
See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids
Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone with or without auditory aides
