The intern in the position will assist with the communication efforts of UITS Kokomo staff to inform and educate campus customers. This internship will expose the student to working on digital and print design, including digital signage, printed signage, email content, and web content, across the campus of IU Kokomo. In addition, the student would be afforded the opportunity to discuss and analyze emerging technologies in a professional environment outside the classroom, as well as, work with technical stakeholders representing Web Services, IT Training, and the Support Center. This internship would be appropriate for students with an interest in Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Informatics, Graphic Design, and/or New Media. All students are encouraged to apply.
Description of duties:
Work with leaders of IT Training, Support Center, and Web Services areas to create appropriate communications and templates to meet campus needs.
Ensure the design is user friendly and tailored to the audience.
Have exposure to modern web development techniques and graphic design.
Create emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Leverage IU Web Content Management System (WCMS).
Apply IU Brand & Web Style Guide.
High school diploma or GED.
Excellent understanding of web content and graphic design best practices.
Exposure to Salesforce or other Constituent Relationship Management software platforms.
Exposure to digital marketing tools or concepts such as Google Analytics, A/B Testing, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
