St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is looking for an energetic staff member for our Lower School Extended Day Program. The employee will be working with students between the ages of 3-10 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Candidates must have experience working with school-age children in a group setting. Interactive supervision is paramount with all children. Degree in early childhood or a child related field preferred.
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
Interacts with the children and encourages their involvement in activities.
Provides a warm, safe, and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing. The environment should allow the child to grow and to explore.
Responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of the children.
Interacts appropriately and professionally with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
Maintains adherence to all school policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
Models professional standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
Education, Certifications, and Work Related Experience:
High school diploma or higher (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Must be willing and able to be CPR and First Aid certified
Training and/or experience in early childhood education or child care is valued
Technical Competencies and Skills:
Can work independently and can work as part of a team
Accepts responsibility and is self-motivated
Takes proactive approach in all job responsibilities
Demonstrates strong work ethic
