This position is a 9-month position (September through May) and will serve as the head coach for the club skiing program.Â The primary function of this position will be to assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of the club skiing program.
All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the appropriate parties.Â Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test and maintain current AED/CPR & First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division).
Bachelorâ™s Degree, preferred
1-3 years relevant coaching experience, preferred
Demonstrated high-level achievement and ability to develop students.
Comprehensive knowledge of skiing and ski racing.
Exemplary ethical conduct, integrity and credibility within the sport
Commitment to the student and the ability to coach and motivate student-athletes.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication and computer skills needed.
Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and work both individually and as a member team.
Demonstrated ability to work with and relate well to students
CPR/AED & First Aid Certification; Certification must be obtained within three (3) months of employment.
Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
Basic proficiency in excel, word, internet & email capabilities.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background, education and DMV check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
