The Athletic Multimedia Production Crew and Sr. Production Crew will assist with the live broadcast productions of Brownâ™s varsity sports, viewable on ESPN+. Working as a team, the Sr./Production Crew creates professional level broadcasts by operating either cameras, graphics, replay, or other production equipment. Communicating with the director and producer throughout each event is important for this position regardless of the equipment thatâ™s being operated.
All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the appropriate parties.
Experience working with live broadcasts. 1-2 years for Production Crew and 3+ for Sr. Production Crew. Prior experience working live athletic broadcasts, preferred.
Experience using and operating cameras and production equipment
Education in a media related field is not required, but is recommended
Must be a team player with strong communication skills
Must have a general understanding of the sports being broadcast, including the rules, run of play, and timeout protocols
Have a professional knowledge of camera controls such as zoom, focus, pan, and tilt in addition to knowledge and use of tripods
Must represent the University in a professional and respectful manner when interacting with/around teams, officials, coaches, support staff, etc.
