Coordinates the PrayerNet Program through contact with external volunteer groups and individuals wanting to assist in patient care through prayer intervention, by spending some time each day in prayer, for the purpose of healing and restoring health to patients through direct intercession and through the expert delivery of care by healthcare teams.
Recruits, develops, and maintains staff of volunteers to work in program.
Manages website traffic, maintaining database files of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly local, national and international traffic to website.
Analyzes information to determine whether there is opportunity for PrayerNet growth.
Connects families and patients with the resources of Spiritual Care as necessary.
Provides first line help desk support source for end users of the P-NET, both patients and internet users.
Works with all members of the Spiritual Care team to facilitate cooperation between PrayerNet and Spiritual Care.
Assists with generating potential funding resources for the continued viability of the Program.
Identifies interested groups and individuals for prayer by establishing contact with faith-based organizations, community groups, and individuals to establish knowledge and grow interest in an intercessory prayer network.
Develops and maintains a list of persons involved with the PrayerNet, including email, phone, address; and communicates with the PrayerNet through the appropriate means regarding group initiatives and activities.
Gathers information on system services and types of medical services and medical cases that do not identify specific patients, but can be used to establish need for prayer, and share this information with applicable groups and individuals to perform prayer.
Develops communication pieces such as brochures, newsletters and Internet information that will keep the PrayerNet informed and educates patients as to the availability of prayer.
Keeps records on prayer activity and collects information of rates of recovery within the system.
Identifies and implements opportunities to gain monetary contributions for the program in order to maintain its perpetuity.
