Princeton School is seeking a part-time Sport Performance Coach to work in our Athletics Department. The Coach works with Varsity Head Coaches and the Director of Athletics and Physical Education to implement a safe and effective comprehensive Sport Performance program to reduce injuries and improve performance for all athletes and sports. This is a part-time, 12-month position; 28 hours/week during the school year and 10 hours/week in the summer months, with the flexibility to add hours in the summer. School year hours will be 6:00-8:00am and 2:00 – 6:00pm, with hours in the summer months to be more flexible.
Developing age and sport appropriate training programs
Efficiently organize, manage and inspire students in both large and small team/group settings
Working together with the Athletic Trainers to assist in the rehabilitation & reconditioning programs for student-athletes
Maintaining a safe and clean training environment through regular maintenance and equipment checks
As a member of the Athletics Department, any other duties, assist with various athletics duties as needed
A Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field
NSCA (CSCS) Certification
Ability to work with coaches in a team environment as well as work with numerous athletes and coaches simultaneously
Experience is preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Professional, detail-oriented, hardworking, collaborative, problem-solving and affable
Willing to take the initiative, be adaptable and respond to a fast-paced environment
Ability to create strong relationships and articulate the school’s mission to the community, while managing confidential information in a professional manner
Experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community
Maintains knowledge of data processes and contributes to design and improvement of those processes
Creates basic reports to support departmental/division processes
Promotes good data stewardship and demonstrates ownership of system, processes, and tasks
Performs data entry accurately and efficiently
Proficiently uses Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
