Princeton Montessori School is seeking a Technology Associate to support the organization in its ongoing need for technology support. This is a new position requiring a daily on-site presence at our beautiful campus located in Princeton, NJ. The ideal candidate would be excited to join an administrative team in a small independent school and would bring a willingness to learn, a passion for their work, and the ability to problem-solve to the position.
The Technology Associate is responsible for providing daily technology support and training to faculty, staff, and students to ensure their needs are being met and issues resolved in a timely manner, and implementing the educational technology needs of the organization. The position requires significant interaction with faculty, administration, students, and adult learners to provide hardware and software support and requires a strong bias towards customer service, quality, and end-user satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities of the position include:
Provide troubleshooting, support, and training for faculty and staff in their use of Google Workspace for Education
Offer timely and helpful technology support to faculty, staff, and students
Coordinate educational software needs and supports the faculty in their use
Maintain the school’s educational software licenses and subscriptions. Manage the license agreements and passwords for all educational software
Manage the school’s hardware inventory of Macbooks, Chromebooks, iPads, printers, and other peripheral devices
Determine best practices for computer use across the organization, communicate these to school leadership, and coordinate implementation
Support the organization on projects requiring tech and/or A/V expertise

Excellent understanding of hardware: Apple products, Chromebooks, iPads, and associated accessories
Thorough knowledge of and experience with Google Suite for Education (Google certification preferred)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience using and/or implementing educational software for elementary grades (1-8)
Ability to provide training to faculty and staff
Onsite presence required. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on operations load, project timeline requirements, or urgent support
Bachelor’s degree minimum and at two years industry experience, preferably in an educational setting
The following would be a plus: Knowledge of FileMaker Pro, K-12 educational technology tools, Project Management methodology, and the ability to see future technology trends
Additional Salary Information: Commensurate with experience
