CORPORATION PROGRAMS ASSISTANT , Office of the President (part-time, 20 hrs/wk.), to perform administrative and technical duties in support of members of the Office of the Corporation, including the associate secretary. The Corporation is MIT's governing body, consisting of 100+ voting and emeritus members. Will assist the senior director of corporation programs and associate secretary in planning logistics for Corporation- and committee-related programming, including scheduling, reserving space, collecting and distributing meeting materials, and tracking attendance; serve as the office contact for Corporation members, Institute officers, faculty, staff, and students; staff all Corporation and some committee meetings and serve as contact for vendors, Corporation members, and meeting guests;compile results from feedback surveys and generate reports; format and proofread written materials, including invitations, agendas, and reports; update Corporation website; reconcile invoices and process expense reimbursements; maintain Corporation database, including biographical information and committee assignments; and coordinate the annual update of member profiles.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years' relevant experience, preferably with project or event management; ability to work independently, build strong relationships, and function as part of a team; excellent organizational and customer service skills; meticulous attention to detail; a desire to work in a dynamic, challenging work environment; flexibility and willingness to change priorities; discretion with confidential information; and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, including proficiency creating complex formatting and formulas.
