Adjunct faculty members must be responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Classes may be held on any of our four campuses (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, or Virginia Beach). This position is in the Arts and Humanities Pathway which is based in Norfolk. ASL faculty members must be skilled in ASL and written communications and must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members.
Two years of occupational experience with an Associate's degree or higher in one of the following: • American Sign Language • Deaf Studies/Education • Interpreting & Translation American Sign Language Linguistics
