We are currently seeking a student in an environmental curriculum to fill a summer internship in the Environment, Health, and Safety Department (EH&S) at our Headquarters facility in Springfield, Missouri. This is a paid internship that offers employment during Summer 2022. Normal working days are Monday through Friday. You could also potentially receive course credit while working at AECI! Qualified applicants will be currently enrolled in an environmental science, computer science, biology, chemistry, or a related applied science field, and have successfully completed two (2) years of work towards a bachelor’s degree. We are seeking an individual with strong computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong statistical and analytical background. Experience in Microsoft SharePoint is desired. The HQ Safety intern will the opportunity for travel to plants for work assignments.
As part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Department (EH&S), this position may include projects in the following areas:
Participate in EH&S Compliance audits at multiple plant locations
Provide support for safety permitting software & chemical inventory management software
Organizing safety events/trainings
Managing PPE inventory and fit testing
Other projects as assigned
