Southern Wesleyan University, a university within the Wesleyan-Holiness theological tradition, located in the beautiful upstate of South Carolina, invites applications for faculty positions within the nascent but rapidly growing MSc in Counseling Psychology program.
We invite interested individuals to apply for the position of Part-Time Affiliate Faculty. The university seeks to increase the number of women and minorities within its faculty. Minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. The position is intended to begin August 1, 2021
Pay level is determined by degree, experience, professional development and course enrollment.
Teach occasional classes in the graduate MS Counseling Psychology program (see http://catalog.swu.edu/MSCP_courses). Individuals who can teach courses in specialized areas related to counseling are of particular interest (e.g., addictions, working with children/youth, mindfulness).
Direct supervision of graduate practicum and internship students, as available.
A master’s degree or earned doctorate in an appropriate area (e.g., counseling, psychology, counseling education) with at least 18 graduate credits in counseling related courses. Preference will be given to applicants with previous online teaching experience.
Desire and/or experience in integrating the Christian faith with the teaching and practice of human services are essential.
