Job Summary The Chief Medical Officer will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day operational management of patient programs. The Chief Medical Officer will ideally be based on the west coast. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute the organization’s program strategy. • Build, grow and lead a high-functioning organization. • Lead strategic input and direction for available services and provide strategic input into the development plans to support customer needs (oncologists and their ovarian cancer patients). • Drive creation and oversee execution of the following plans: Publication Plan, KOL/Advisory Board Plan, and Grant Plan to optimize the services profile to build product awareness and gain strategic insights as we scale. • Ensure the creation of effective presentations and tools that can be adopted and/or adapted globally (MSL slide decks, training platform materials, etc.). • Provide support for patients through the planning and management of quality of life research. • Oversee the leadership of the MSL team and have overall accountability for the development and management of relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). Serve as a senior representative to KOLs, working in collaboration with colleagues similarly involved providing strong medical and scientific presence. • Design education and training plans including the development of cross-functional training materials and programs to ensure teams have appropriate levels of expertise in ovarian cancer. • Manage external stakeholder relationships, such as scientific advisory boards and advocacy groups. • Representfoundation at professional meetings, medical congresses, and symposia. • Serve as a senior representative to interact with key internal stakeholders: Development, Program Leadership, Marketing, Human Resources and Operations. • Provide Medical leadership to the MSL Team to assist in the development and execution of compliant activities. • Ensure compliance with all internal and external policies and regulations.
MD/DO with (3+) years of related industry experience in oncology. • Prior senior leadership and management experience, including oversight of Medical Affairs teams. • Experience and knowledge in the treatment of solid tumor cancers, ideally including ovarian cancer, preferred. • Strong experience in clinical research, development and/or post-marketing medical affairs. • Ability to interpret and present complex medical topics.
