The Collegiate School seeks a dedicated, dynamic, and experienced After School Program Director to serve within its Lower School. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in program administration within a school care setting with an ability to organize and plan effective programming. Under the general direction of the Head of Lower School, the After School Program Director is responsible for developing and managing student programs, determining students’ interests and needs, hiring and managing after-school program staff, overseeing operations and building relationships with outside vendors.
Determines class offerings, develops a master schedule that reflects program priorities and coordinates with the School’s master calendar; assigns class locations;
In collaboration with Human Resources, recruits, hires and onboards all on-campus teachers;
Supervises and manages all after-school program staff including performance evaluations and professional development;
Establishes and maintains a system of communications among staff and parents and students;
Evaluates and improves the quality and operations of any off-campus vendors;
Prepares registration materials and coordinates program registration;
In collaboration with the Chief Finance and Operations Officer, sets the tuition rates for each class and prepares billing information on a regular schedule;
In collaboration with the Chief Finance and Operations Officer, determines faculty salaries and prepares payroll information on a regular schedule;
Performs related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in teaching or related field required. Experience working with children and educational administrative experience preferred.
