Tower seeks a part-time, enthusiastic, collaborative, and experienced Speech and Language pathologist to start in August 2021.
Tower seeks teaching faculty who demonstrate an interest in participating fully in the life and activities of a highly engaging elementary and middle school and will contribute to furthering Tower’s mission. Successful candidates will exhibit a strong work ethic, a sense of humor, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to inspire young people.
Preferred candidates will have:
A minimum of 5 years experience working with children
A Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Experience with evidenced-based practice in such areas as:
Verbal formulation/organization and word retrieval challenges
EmPOWER, Brain Frames or related writing programs
Lindamood Bell’s Visualizing/Verbalizing
Social/pragmatic communication development and social language groups
Familiarity with reading disorders and remediation of reading comprehension challenges a plus
An ability to respond with kindness and patience to young students’ developing emotional and physical needs
Experience collaborating as part of a professional team
Knowledge of formal and informal articulation, language and social communication assessments
Strong report-writing skills
