Stanford Online High School is also the new home of Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies (SPCS), which provides a diverse array of academic enrichment programs that take place throughout the academic year, primarily online, to intellectually curious pre-college students from around the world.
**Please note that the Stanford Online High School and Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies offices are located at the Stanford Redwood City Campus, however currently, all staff are required to temporarily work from home, due to the county health & safety restrictions.**
As our new temporary Business Operations Specialist, you will provide instrumental support to the Business Office team, and have exposure to a wide variety of tasks. You will become familiar with numerous operational and financial processes. We would love to welcome you to our friendly team!
-Respond to basic e-mail and phone inquiries; determine and take appropriate action as needed. Serve as a resource for staff questions regarding policies and procedures. Dra and/or generate routine communications. -Perform data entry in Excel and Google Sheets; work with complex reports and spreadsheets which may utilize specialized soware and systems. -Provide general administrative support for Stanford Online High School staff; identify and resolve problems that are administrative in nature. -Process and monitor routine financial transactions, which may include researching and resolving discrepancies. -Perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating conferences, seminars, and events, including recommending vendors for services, overseeing the production and distribution of materials, coordinating logistics, and serving as liaison with internal and external vendors. -Plan and schedule calendar(s) based on consultation, resolve calendaring conflicts, and arrange travel in compliance with unit, university, and sponsor policies. -Other duties as assigned
To be successful in this position, you will bring: -High school diploma and relevant experience. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. -Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office soware and email applications. Outlook, Excel, and Google Suite proficiency strongly preferred. -Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. -Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. -Ability to prioritize and multi-task. -Close attention to detail, organizational skills and high degree of accuracy and ownership. -Capability to follow through and complete routine tasks. -Flexibility in daily/weekly hours and schedule.
