High School Outplacement Coordinator

POSITION: High School Outplacement Coordinator (part-time)

Reports to: Middle School Head

Responsibilities:

• Build professional relationships with the following to place students with the best high school fit
• local Admissions Directors
• local Upper School Division Heads
• local high school coaches and performing arts teachers
• parents of seventh and eight grade students
• seventh and eighth grade students to better understand their academic and social emotional needs 
• Participate in 8th grade Leadership seminar course
• Work closely with the Director of Admissions and Middle School Head regarding high school outplacement
• Work closely with families regarding application process
• Work closely with eighth grade advisors regarding eight grade student needs
• Schedule, organize and run spring high school sesion for seventh grade students and parents.
• Schedule, organize and run high school fair in October
• Build and expand upon the existing high school placement program
• Familiarly with entrance exams and placement testing (ISEE/HSPT)

Administrative

• Attends all regularly scheduled and special faculty meetings and liturgies 
• Responds to communication regarding students within 24 hours 
• On a rotating basis, will be responsible for assuming the supervision duties of arrival and/or departure carpool, recess, lunch, etc. as assigned or needed.
• Review school referral process in collaboration with administrator 
• Act as an advocate for the students as required 

Professional

• Participates in recommended training programs, conferences, seminars, courses, and other professional development opportunities to further enhance professional and personal growth.
• Must be willing to fully participate with the Head of School in performance evaluations and in assessing development activities and personal improvements needed to ensure continuing professional and personal growth.
