 Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

| Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Science or related field from a regionally accredited college or university. Virginia Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Credential -VA Emergency Medical Services Education Coordinator (or available to obtain within two years of hire). One year of relevant field experience in Emergency Medical Science or closely related career field within the past five years -Secondary/Post-secondary teaching and/or professional training experience in Emergency Medical Science in any of the following formats: teaching courses, training sessions, conducting professional development workshops, and/or other continuing educational seminars. |
