Department HAMILTON LUGAR SCHOOL (BL-SGIS-IUBLA) Job Summary The office of Congressman Lee Hamilton is seeking a motivated student to assist in his Bloomington campus office. The office assistant will assist with filing, typing, and assisting in research. In addition, the office assistant will assist in transcribing materials for Congressman Hamilton. Additional duties depending upon the employee's skills and knowledge may include distribution of bi-weekly commentaries and press releases, working paper and electronic lists, data file entry and maintenance, library research, etc. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Proficient communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Attention to detail. Great interpersonal skills. Legal and management/administration experience. Research and development. Typing skills. Office experience. Currently enrolled as an IU student. Ideal majors for students include Public and Environmental Affairs, Business, Public Administration, Journalism, Telecommunications, Political Science, or International Studies. Work Location Bloomington, Indiana Work Hours 15-20 hours a week.
