Industrial Maintenance Technology Adjunct Faculty

The Industrial Maintenance Technology Program at Bluegrass Community & Technical College is looking for a part-time instructor.

 *Posting is open-ended and will be filled according to need.

1. Plans and carries out instruction and instructional activities and prepares learning materials for special study including training programs to meet the needs of local industry.
2. Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice of the various aspects of industrial maintenance technology and related subject areas.
3. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students attainment and progress.
4. Maintains order and discipline.
5. Ensures that appropriate safety policies and procedures are developed and implemented in the industrial maintenance laboratory.
6. Maintains industrial maintenance equipment and makes purchase recommendations to ensure properly equipped laboratories.
7. Keeps abreast of technical changes in the field and keeps program updated.
8. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and technical expertise in the area taught.
9. Maintains industrial maintenance program in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting bodies.
10. Provides follow-up services to assist in student placement, improve courses of instruction, and promote public relations. 

• Associate's degree, plus industry work experience in teaching discipline or related field required.
• Knowledge and skills pertaining to AC/DC motors and controls, PLCs, hydraulics & pneumatics, maintenance of industrial equipment including but not limited to: Belt, gear, and chain drive systems including mechanical variable speed drives.
• Knowledge of prime movers, bushings, bearings and mechanical blueprints.
