The KCTCS Foundation, Inc. serves as the independent recognized private foundation delegated with responsibility to solicit and manage funds that benefit KCTCS students, faculty, and staff. In fiscal year 2020 the KCTCS Foundation experienced the best fundraising year in its history raising more than $1.2 million. This total represents more than the last three years combined. With the additional gifts comes the need for staff to help ensure accurate and efficient tracking and financial accounting of the funds being transferred to KCTCS. This position will help cover the additional workload created as fundraising performance continues to increase in future years especially with a major gift campaign on the horizon. This position also helps the Institutional Advancement division to complete a full fiscal calendar cycle and prepare for a staff retirement coming in fiscal year 2022. The open position is located in Versailles, Kentucky.
Assist with maintenance of the KCTCS Foundation financial statements and preparation of documents for audit.
Serve as Help Desk for all college advancement staff on issues relating to receipting and recording gifts and pledges.
Confirm that transactions are recorded according to the regulations and guidelines of the Internal Revenue Service, Auditing Standards Board, Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the Council for Aid in Education.
Interpret and implement policies and procedures for receiving, processing, and recording of private gifts in the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system for the KCTCS Foundation, the colleges, and college recognized foundations.
Identify data errors, make recommendations on corrections, and adjust records to ensure accuracy systemwide.
Establish new gift and endowment accounts, new designations, and item types system-wide.
Other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree or equivalent and four (4) year relevant experience.
Equivalencies: High School Diploma and six (6) years relevant experience; Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years relevant experience; or a Master's Degree.
Bachelor's Degree and five (5) year relevant experience.
KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
