Watkinson School, offering inventive teaching and learning to Hartford and surrounding communities since 1881, seeks an energetic and qualified individual to be its Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach for the 2021-22 season.
This position will run mid-August through mid-November. Practice times are 3:00 - 4:30 Monday through Friday (Wednesdays are 2:00 - 3:45) Game days vary throughout the week and include Saturdays.
This position requires a dynamic, inspirational leader who can be a role model. Duties involve promoting the values of leadership and sportsmanship, planning productive practices, executing effective coaching strategies during practices and games, and working with the Athletic Director and assistant coaches to develop a competitive program that reflects the mission and culture of the Watkinson community. We seek candidates who enjoy interacting with a diverse group of students.
Other Qualifications
Coaching experience with a school or club program
College and/or high school playing experience
Ability to attract prospective students to Watkinson School
This part-time coaching position may potentially be integrated into our open, full-time Associate Athletic Director position, for an interested and qualified candidate.
