Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking for a Variable Hours Officer to work on a temporary research project. The selected incumbent will closely work with the Principal Investigator to ensure the effective completion of the research study. This position will have a variable work schedule.

Responsibilities

The Variable Hours Officer will carry out the day-to-day operations of the study, which include but are not limited to:

• Conducting recruitment over the phone;
• Screening eligible participants;
• Organizing and conducting study visits/study procedures remotely (i.e., by Zoom);
• Submitting and maintaining regulatory documents for/to IRB;
• Collecting data for tracking and evaluation activities;
• Coordinating data management for analysis; and
• Performing other related duties as required.

This is a temporary position with a flexible work schedule. Continued employment is contingent upon funding. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• A strong level of attention to detail with the ability to multitask;
• Knowledge of computer skills (ex. Microsoft Office Suites, Zoom) required;
• Must be able to work independently effectively under minimal supervision;
• Must successfully complete Institutional Good Clinical Practices and HIPAA training and Certification;
• A strong background with research recruitment, screening, enrollment, follow-up calls and retention activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with statistical software and REDCap.
