Department IUPUI HEALTH SERVICES (IN-SHSR-IUINA) Department Information Our mission at IUPUI Campus Health is to provide the best care at a low cost to our patients. Our primary focus is to ensure our students stay healthy and have access to our services when they are feeling under the weather. Our other goals are to provide medical services to IUPUI employees when related to their work, educational and training sessions. We are accredited by the American Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Job Summary The COVID testing assistant will give instructions to students, staff, and faculty for COVID testing on the IUPUI Campus. The assistant will wear Personal Protective Equipment while handing out sealed tests. Persons taking the tests will provide a saliva sample in a vial, close the vial, and place it in a location where the assistant can submit it for delivery to a laboratory. The assistant will complete paperwork and facilitate the record keeping of the testing process. The position does not require medical knowledge or experience. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation. Detail oriented. Ability to be dependable. Working Conditions / Demands The assistant will wear Personal Protective Equipment while handing out sealed tests. The assistant will have the option of working weekends.
