Job Description: SUMMARY: The Assistant Dean for Curriculum on Diversity, Inclusive Teaching and Learning is a key faculty position in the Office of Medical Education (OME) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University (AMS). This role oversees curriculum development, revision and delivery on diversity, inclusive teaching and learning across the Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program. In the pre-clerkship years, this position works with the Assistant Deans for Medical Education on Year 1 and Year 2 and the Director of Doctoring to ensure lectures, small groups and all other educational sessions include curriculum that is representative of the patient population both locally and nationally. This includes reviewing PowerPoint slides, small group case scenarios, and other curricular materials. In Year 3 and Year 4, this role works with the Associate Dean for Medical Education, clerkship directors, sub-internship and elective directors, and other key stakeholders on ensuring diversity and inclusion in clinical curriculum, again including, but not limited to lectures, small groups and other educational sessions specifically for medical students. The Assistant Dean consults with AMS faculty, makes recommendations on inclusive practices to faculty, and works with the Office of Faculty Professional Development to develop and deliver training sessions to increase anti-racist capacity within the faculty. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience:
