Internship Schedule:

  • The internship would require the candidate to participate in both Summer and Fall term which would be remote and based in our Stamford, CT office.
  • Summer term will be Full time:
    • 5 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour lunch break
    • 8 weeks between (June 1st to July 23rd)
  • Fall term will be Part time:
    • 16-25 hours per week during the school year depending on the applicant's schedule
    • 10 weeks between (October 11th to December 18th)

Your role:

  • Learn fundamental concepts of insurance and reinsurance in Property & Casualty business,
  • Handle reinsurance pricing tools,
  • Perform tasks related to data preparation, formatting, rework, analysis and/or comparison,
  • Conduct pricing pre-analysis and work with the pricing actuaries and underwriters,
  • At the conclusion of the summer program, interns will have an opportunity to prepare individual presentations to managers to demonstrate their experience.

About you:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or graduate degree program, minimum GPA 3.0.
  • Because the insurance industry offers complex, dynamic and exciting positions, we welcome interns who have various majors, backgrounds and experiences.  For the internship program, we are most interested in students who are serious about entering the Insurance Industry and those majoring in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Risk Management, STEM
  • Keen to learn and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
  • Highly collaborative and versatile; with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Eligible candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without restriction
