The Loomis Chaffee School seeks a head varsity boys lacrosse coach for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The Loomis Chaffee boys lacrosse program has a long tradition of excellence and competes against one of the most challenging secondary school schedule of opponents in the country. This position includes all of the associated responsibilities of managing a dynamic program, such as identifying and helping to recruit mission-appropriate student-athletes, the development and management of practice/game protocols and procedures, working with other coaches in the program at all levels, and collaborating with the college office for those players seeking to continue their lacrosse careers in college. In addition to serving as the head boys lacrosse coach, the successful candidate will fill other roles on campus (such as teaching or working in an administrative role), will live on campus, and will have residential life responsibilities.
This position requires an undergraduate college degree as well as significant and relevant lacrosse coaching experience. Other desired experiences include: 1. Working in a private and/or boarding secondary school setting; 2. A proven track record of recruiting mission-appropriate student athletes into a challenging academic environment; 3. Relevant work experience in an educational institution as either a teacher or administrator.
