The Silberstein lab is recruiting a part-time Lab Aide to perform routine laboratory tasks in order to help support a lab under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. A commitment of at least two years is expected.

• Murine colony Maintenance/PCR genotyping
• Re-stocking lab supplies
• Processing biohazard waste
• Making reagents

• A high school diploma or GED and current enrollment in college at the sophomore or higher level, with prior introductory biology and chemistry preferred but not required
• To be successful in this position, the lab aide must be detailed oriented, organized, capable of maintaining thorough records, and be able to work efficiently under supervision
• Attendance of lab meetings and involvement in a research project will be encouraged
