 Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Teach college-level graphic design courses at the Loudoun campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). Courses may be taught during daytime, evening and/ or Saturday hours. Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs.

| •Adept knowledge of instructional technologies •Excellent interpersonal and native or near-native oral and written English skills •Ability to work with a diverse student population •Successful passing of a criminal background check •Adjunct faculty are required to meet assigned classes on meeting dates, submit required grade records and reports, student learning outcomes. •Classes maybe held during the day, evening or combination of both. •Excellent interpersonal and native or near-native oral and written Spanish skills •Applicants must have an earned Master's degree from an accredited university or college. Applicants must have proven design experience outside of academia and with a diverse set of graphic design skills. Advanced skills and understanding of the current version of the Adobe Creative Cloud software is needed. |
