Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Teach Mathematics courses at the Loudoun campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). Courses may be taught during daytime, evening and/ or Saturday hours. Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs.
Master's Degree required, with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics coursework. For teaching developmental mathematics, a bachelor's degree in mathematics, paired with teaching experience, is acceptable.
