Marburn Academy is seeking qualified candidates to join our summer school team in 2021. We are seeking candidates to teach language arts or mathematics to small groups of students in the elementary and middle school grades. We are also seeking a candidate to teach Computer Science to small groups of middle school grades. Candidates who are accepted to teach in the program will receive a competitive stipend, professional development in areas of language arts and mathematics provided by Marburn faculty and administration, and supervision support throughout summer school.

Hours: 8:00am-12:30pm Monday-Friday

Educational Background and Experience
Minimum of Bachelor's degree, or in current standing to receive Bachelor's degree
Background and experience in special education is preferred

All employees of Marburn Academy must pass required criminal record checks and appropriate background checks, including proof of academic credentials.
Marburn Academy is a not-for-profit, independent, day school devoted to serving the educational needs of bright students with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. Opened in 1981 with 12 students, Marburn now educates over 300 students year-round. Marburn Academy is the only school in Central Ohio with academic and co-curricular programs designed to address the full range of unique learning and personal development needs of children with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. Students from approximately 25 Central Ohio communities attend the school. Marburn Academy is accredited at the highest level by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS.) The Ohio Department of Education accepts this accreditation and recognizes Marburn Academy as an independent, K-12, non-public school. Marburn Academy is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Ohio Association of Independent Schools (OAIS).Marburn Academy is one of only 13 schools in the nation to have its language instruction program accredited by the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE).
