Medical Student Education serves students' critical affairs in their pursuit of a medical degree for Indiana University School of Medicine. We also serve faculty by providing support for curriculum development, program assessment, student evaluation, and learning technology tools. Job Summary The Educational Technology Specialist will research, identify and support new technologies, services and trends in medical education technology and provide support for educational technology systems. The student will be expected to advise faculty or others on the best technology to choose in any given situation as a result of their research efforts. Additionally, the position will provide support for a full range of current and emerging instructional technologies, including student administration systems, learning management systems, active learning classrooms and supporting technologies, electronic collaboration and social networking, electronic conferencing and virtual environments, etc. This position is part-time, up to 25 hours a week, with some flexibility in schedule. Required Qualifications Currently enrolled as an IU student. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information. Preferred Qualifications Experience in MedHub, Canvas ExamSoft, Audience Response Systems (mostly Top Hat), Lecture Capture, videoconferencing, voice-over PowerPoint, and other course recordings.
