The School of Nursing at Columbia University is seeking a Columbia University student to assist a research team on an NIH-funded study to develop and test a comprehensive program of palliative care for patients with multiple chronic conditions in the primary care setting.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting the research team with literature reviews;
Supporting the research team with scheduling and conducting interviews & focus groups via the telephone & zoom in English and Spanish;
Helping the research team with analyzing qualitative data;
Performing quantitative data collection via chart review; and
Performing other related duties as assigned.
This is a grant funded position and continued employment is contingent upon the grant.
Bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, public health, or related field.
Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis;
Experience with REDCap and NVivo software;
Experience conducting research with human subjects (e.g., obtaining informed consent, securely storing data, communicating with IRB);
Master's degree in nursing, social work, public health, or related field;
Interest in palliative care and/or primary care for patients with multiple chronic conditions is a plus.
