Department RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS & SERV (BA-RPAS-IUBLA) Job Summary Performs a variety of inventory and warehouse functions including receiving and placing in inventory all incoming shipments, picking and loading all outgoing shipments, and processing any applicable paperwork. Unloads trucks and inspects the quality and condition of goods and materials before accepting the shipment. Transports to and stores goods and materials in designated areas. Rotates stock as necessary. Gathers goods and materials from inventory locations as specified by a pick list, and places goods and materials on a pallet or applicable container for shipment. Transports goods and materials to the loading dock. Ensures quantity of goods and materials picked is equal to the quantity on the pick list. Loads goods and materials onto truck for shipment to final destination. Maintains warehouse in a clean, safe, and well-organized manner. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information. Working Conditions / Demands Ability to perform work requiring considerable medium-heavy physical exertion. Ability to periodically work in extremely cold temperatures (refrigerators and freezers).
